David Rowson

David works with university partners in the UK and EMEA to help them transfer their programmes online, delivering world-class learning experiences for their students and transformational workforce-relevant outcomes. 

Before joining Risepoint, David headed up a learning design team at Wiley, and has worked in online learning since 2007. Earlier in his career, he trained as a teacher and taught in 4 countries across Europe, before working as a Product Director in the pathway sector for companies preparing students for undergraduate study at UK universities. He has worked in the higher education sector since the early 2000s. 

David holds a joint honours bachelor’s degree in French and Russian from the University of Nottingham, and postgraduate qualifications in management, teaching and teacher training. It was during his time as a teacher trainer that his passion for the science of how people learn was born, and this drives much of his thinking around learning design.
